Azerbaijani Fighters Dominate Grand Bellagio MMA Tournament
Jerusalem, 27 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- (AZERTAC) – Azerbaijani athletes successfully performed at the “Grand Bellagio & GFC” international MMA tournament held in Batumi, Georgia.
AZERTAC reports that Alim Nabiyev, a 7-time world and 3-time European kickboxing champion, an Azerbaijani athlete, achieved another victory in the tournament. He knocked out his Turkish opponent Oguzhan Atak in the first round, earning his second victory in his MMA career. A. Nabiyev’s next fight is scheduled for the end of this year. The athlete aims to perform in the UFC.
Other Azerbaijani fighters also distinguished themselves in the tournament. Tahir Abdullayev, who competed in the heavyweight category, defeated Iranian Siavash Dadras. Elvin Kamilli, who competed in the lightweight category, defeated his Georgian opponent Giorgi Kabulashvili by knockout in the first round.
A total of 24 athletes from 10 countries participated in the “Grand Bellagio & GFC” international tournament, which was held in Batumi for the third time.
