Azerbaijani Freestyle Wrestling Team Crowned Four-Time European Champion

Jerusalem, 12 March, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The Azerbaijan freestyle wrestling team finished first in the overall medal table, bringing home nine medals, from the U23 European Championships 2025 in Tirana, Albania.

The team secured a total of nine medals: one gold, four silver, and four bronze.

For the first time, the talented young fighters of Azerbaijan won 9 medals across 10 weight classes, setting a new record of points (169).

Turkey ranked second in points (117), followed by Ukraine (104).
