Azerbaijani Judokas Take Gold in Mexico

Jerusalem, 19 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- (AZERTAC) – The Azerbaijani judo team won another medal at the Grand Prix tournament held in Guadalajara, Mexico.

AZERTAC reports that Hidayat Heydarov (73 kilograms) and Vusal Qalanderzadeh (81 kilograms) defeated their opponents in the final and won the gold medal.

Another judoka, Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kilograms), won a bronze medal.

Earlier Azerbaijani judokas Balabey Aghayev (60 kilograms) and Ruslan Pashayev (66 kilograms) won the tournament. Ahmad Yusifov (60 kilograms) took third place.
