Azerbaijani Police Investigating Illegal Sale of Qarabag-Chelsea Tickets

Jerusalem, 3 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The issue of tickets for the Qarabag-Chelsea game in Baku being sold at high prices on social networks is in the focus of attention of Qarabag club officials and Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies.

This was reported to AZERTAC by Anar Hajiyev, press secretary of the Qarabag club.

He said that an investigation will be conducted into the illegal sale of tickets for the match against Chelsea in Baku in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League main stage.

In response to a request from AZERTAC , Jasarat Ganbarli, an employee of the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), noted that police officers will ensure that legal measures are taken in this regard: “Every piece of information regarding illegal ticket sales will be checked with a prompt response.”

Regarding the difficulties encountered in purchasing tickets for the game, the website “iTickets.az” told AZERTAC that immediately after the tickets went on sale, there was a serious load on the site and an online queue of 25,000 people formed: “As a result, tickets were sold in turns. At that time, only tickets for 75 manats and VIP sectors were available.”

The Qarabag-Chelsea match will be held at the Tofig Bahramov Republic Stadium on Wednesday.
