Azerbaijani Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Finishes Universiade With Three Medals

Jerusalem, 20 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Essen (AZERTAC) – Azerbaijan won its third medal at the World Summer Universiade held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.

AZERTAC reports that the rhythmic gymnastics group team consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Yelizaveta Luzan, Darya Sorokina and Gullu Agalarzadeh distinguished themselves this time in exercises with three balls and two hoops.

The team, which received 23.950 points from the judges, rose to the second step of the podium. The gold medal went to the Ukrainian team.

This is Azerbaijan’s third medal at the Universiade. The rhythmic gymnastics group exercise team previously took first place in the all-around and five-ribbon exercises.
