Azerbaijani Service Dog Sniffs Out 77 Kilos of Smuggled Marijuana

Jerusalem, 5 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Nakhchivan (AZERTAC) – A cargo vehicle driven by a citizen of Turkey, transporting “wall panels” from Iran to Turkey through Azerbaijan, was arrested after 77 kilos of marijuana were found hidden in the truck.

The marijuana was discovered by a service dog during an inspection at the “Sederak” customs post of the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department.

The Nakhchivan Main Customs Department told AZERTAC the marijuana was discovered in 24 packages wrapped in silver foil, hidden in a “wall panel” cargo in a cargo vehicle in a way that made it difficult to detect.
