Azerbaijani Space Agency Wins ICESCO Grant Competition

Jerusalem, 3 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Azercosmos, the space agency of Azerbaijan won an international grant competition held by the Islamic World Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).

This was reported to AZERTAC by “Azercosmos.” “Azercosmos” presented a theoretical and practical course on studying medical practice under zero gravity in the scientific-practical training on space medicine. The topics of the training also included satellite technologies and advanced solutions, space medicine, microgravity and gravitation, surgery in space, regulation of muscle and bone tissue, blood circulation and other medical aspects.

It should be noted that modern science studies space medicine only in conditions of gravity. Azercosmos was awarded an honorary award by the Arabian Gulf University and ICESCO for its innovations in this field.
