Azerbaijani Strongman Team Wins Two Gold Medals at World Championship

Jerusalem, 6 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- (AZERTAC) – Members of the Azerbaijani strongman national team performed successfully at the World Championships held in Lokitelek, Hungary.

According to the Azerbaijan Strongman Federation, three athletes represented Azerbaijan in the competition. Tural Mirzaliyev (67.5 kilograms) won the world champion title among juniors. He also took third place in the fight for the absolute championship.

Sadig Musayev, who competed in the open age group, was awarded a silver medal.

Another of our athletes, Jalil Aliyev, competing in the heavyweight category, not only won the world champion title in the open age group, but also set a new world record.
