Azerbaijani Teen Boxers Sweep Gold at Kazakhstan Tournament

Jerusalem, 10 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – An international tournament among school boxers (U-15) was held in the Gorgaljin district of the Akmola region of Kazakhstan.

According to the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation , the Azerbaijani national team participated in the competition organized with the participation of five countries with two athletes, both of whom rose to the highest step of the podium.

Boxers – Sarkhan Hagverdiyev (70 kilograms) and Teymur Tanriverdiyev (+70 kilograms) defeated all their opponents and won gold medals. The boxers, who fought against local athletes in the final, finished the match in their favor with a complete advantage ahead of time.

The team’s coach, Etibar Abdullayev, was named the best coach of the tournament.
