Azerbaijani Translator Wins Top Prize in Global ‘Young Translator’ Competition
Jerusalem, 16 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The winners of the “Young Translator” international competition named after German-born Muslim Ahmed Schmidt, organized by the Vienna Cultural Center, have been announced.
AZERTAC reports that the first place in the competition was awarded to Ahmed bey Ağaoğlu’s “Who Am I?” translated by Nilufar Mammadzadeh, the second place was awarded to Samira Ashraf’s story “The Unopened Umbrella” translated by Michel Reinhard Heb, and the third place was awarded to Musa Yaqub’s poems translated by Yusif Savala.
