Azerbaijan’s Recurring Income Surplus Jumps 86% to $526M

Jerusalem, 15 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The total volume of transactions with foreign countries on recurring income in the first six months of this year was estimated at $1.1 billion.

AZERTAC reports, citing the Central Bank, that receipts amounted to $800 million, and payments amounted to $300 million.

92.6 percent of total recurring income is made up of remittances from individuals from foreign countries, 4.8 percent is the volume of humanitarian goods and other aid imported into the country, and 2.6 percent is made up of other income.

The volume of money orders sent to the country increased by 40.2 percent to $700 million, while the volume of money orders transferred from the country decreased by 12.7 percent to $200 million. As a result, a positive balance of $500 million (82.8 percent increase) was created on money orders.

In general, the balance of operations on recurring income amounted to $525.7 million (86.3 percent increase).
