Border Police Foil Pipe Bomb Attack
Jerusalem, 17 December, 2017 (TPS) -- Border Police, along with Military Police forces have detained a 17 year old Palestinian male who was carrying two improvised pipe bombs, at the entrance to the military court in Samaria.
The Palestinian, a resident of the Jenin refugee camp, arrived at the entrance to the court house around 9:45 on Sunday morning. The individual aroused the suspicion of the Border and Military Police soldiers guarding the entrance, and they asked him to remove his coat and lift his shirt. At that point, the soldiers spotted the two pipe bombs on his person, as well as a knife and a lighter.
A Border Patrol bomb squad was summoned to the scene, where they successfully neutralized the two explosive devices.
No one was injured during the incident, and the Palestinian was taken in for questioning.
