Breaking News: Sirens Sound in Ashkelon Region, Rockets Intercepted

Jerusalem, 29 May, 2018 (TPS) --  

14.43 Air raid sirens sounded for the fourth time Tuesday in Gaza Belt communities and residents reported that Iron Dome air defense systems had shot down incoming rockets.

14.50  Air raid sirens sounded in the industrial zone outside of the city of Ashkelon, in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council and in towns in the Sha’ar HaNegev region.

14.53  According to unconfiremd reports, six rockets were fired from Gaza , with two shot down by Iron Dome systems.

15.09 Air raid sirens have sounded in the Eshkol Regional Council . An IDF spokesman said several launches  from Gaza had been identified and Iron Dome air dfense batteries had made several intercepts. Meanwhile the Zikim beach has been evacuated.

15.12 A spokesman for the Sderot municipality said parts of a missile  had fallen in the city.

15.13 IDF jets have hit positions in Khan Yunis in the northern Gaza Strip according to unconfirmed Palestinians reports.

15.16 The Palestinian WAFA news agency has reported five Isareli airstrikes at locations in the central  and southern Gaza Strip, causing ” serious demage”.

15.19 A spokesman for the Eshkol Regional Council said projectiles had fallen in open fields without causing any injures or damage.

15.29 For the first time since 2014 Gaza War , the Eshkol Regional Council  has instructed residents  to stay within range of bomb shelters.

16:12 Air raid sirens sounded in the industrial zone outside of the city of Ashkelon, in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council and in towns in the Sha’ar HaNegev region. 

16:23 Air raid sirens sounded in the town of Ofakim, some 20 kilometers west of Beer Sheva.

16 25: The Magen David ambulance service reports that a man was injured by shrapnel in the Eshkol region.
