Bulgaria, Azerbaijan Sign Declaration of Strategic Partnership

Jerusalem, 8 May, 2024 (TPS) -- BAKU, AZERBAIJAN, (BTA)
Presidents Rumen Radev of Bulgaria and Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan signed a declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries in Baku on Wednesday. The Bulgarian head of State is on an official visit to the country at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart.

In the presence of the two state leaders, other documents of bilateral interest for strengthening the cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan were signed.

These include a Joint Operation Agreement between Bulgaria Air and the Azerbaijani national air carrier AZAL. On the Bulgarian side, the document was signed by Hristo Todorov – Chairman of the Board of Bulgaria Air. Also a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Asarel Investment JSC, signed by Executive Director Dimitar Tsotsorkov.

On behalf of Bulgaria, caretaker Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bulgarian innovation Ministry and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan for cooperation in the field of technological innovations.

Earlier on Wednesday, the two heads of state held a one-on-one session.
