Bulgaria to Compete at Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Varna

Jerusalem, 5 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Sofia (BTA) – Bulgaria will participate with 14 competitors at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, which will be held in Varna from May 8 to 11. The national team held an open training session for the media at the Rakovski National Sports Base.

The women’s team is led by European vault runner-up Valentina Georgieva, who will compete on her crowning apparatus in front of a home crowd. Victoria Ventsislavova will compete on floor, vault, beam and mixed parallel bars, Nikol Stoimenova on parallel bars and beam, Nikol Sokolova on floor. Elena Nikolova on parallel bars and beam and Michel Arabadzhieva on floor will start outside the qualifying rounds.

Kevin Penev returns to the men’s team after an injury and will compete for the floor and vault awards. His brother Edin Penev is entered for the same apparatus. Yordan Alexandrov is among the participants in the vault, David Ivanov on pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, Rayan Radkov on pommel horse, Daniel Trifonov on parallel bars and vault, and Bozhidar Zlatanov and Teodor Trifonov will compete outside the classification.

Last year in Varna, Valentina Georgieva won a gold medal in vault , and Yordan Alexandrov triumphed in vault.
