Bulgaria to Increase Its Advertisement Presence on Israeli Tourism Market

Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister Zaritza Dinkova and Ambassador of Israel in Sofia Yoram Elron Friday discussed the possibility of creating combined products for Israeli tourists: wine routes combined with Jewish heritage in Bulgaria, the Tourism Ministry reported. Bulgaria will increase its advertising in the Israeli media, relying on a digital campaign, Minister Dinkova said.

It is planned to promote opportunities for mountain, eco, spa and wellness tourism, she specified.

“The creation of special routes promoting the main Jewish attractions will spark serious interest and increase tourism. I have already spoken with the Ambassador of Bulgaria to the State of Israel, Slavena Gergova, in order to start the implementation of this project,” Dinkova noted.

Offering one-day packages that include destinations close to the main place of stay of Israeli tourists in Bulgaria will be extremely well received, Ambassador Elron said. “Bulgaria is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination for Israeli citizens and a serious alternative to Greece for holidays,” he added.

In May 2023, the Ministry of Tourism made the first-of-its-kind presentation of destination Bulgaria to representatives of the Israeli tourism industry. The forum was held with the support of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Israel and the Israel Association of Travel Agents and Consultants.
