Bulgarian Cabinet Approves Draft Agreement with Israel on Cooperation in Tourism

The Council of Ministers approved Wednesday the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the State of Israel on cooperation in the field of tourism. The Agreement was signed on January 23, 2023, in Sofia during the visit of Israeli Tourism Minister Haim Katz.

The agreement provides for Bulgaria and Israel to promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge related to the organization, management and operation of special forms of tourism, such as seasonal tourism, spa and wellness, cultural and historical, and religious tourism. The two countries will deepen cooperation within the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), as well as with other international organizations. They will promote the exchange of experiences in the field of education with practical training and support cooperation between private sector stakeholders.

According to the document, the countries shall promote cooperation and exchange of good practices to attract investments in tourism.
