Bulgaria’s Bachevski Claims Gold As Team Secures Four-Medal Finish

Jerusalem, 21 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Prague (BTA) – Roselin Bachevski won a gold medal at the European Boxing Golden Cup in Czechia, Bulgarian Boxing Federation said on Sunday. The Bulgarian national competitor in the 90 kg category recorded a convincing victory in the final of the Usti nad Labem international tournament, defeating India’s Kapil Pokhariya by a 4-1 split decision.

Ergyunal Sebahtin claimed silver. In the 50 kg category, the Bulgarian national team captain lost in the final to the Philippines’ Jay Bryan Baricuatro by a 0-5 decision.

Bulgaria wrapped up its participation in the European Golden Cup in Czechia very successfully. The national team finished sixth in the team standings with a total of four medals. Sami Khalil (75 kg) and Semion Boldirev (85 kg) won bronze medals.
