Bulgaria’s World Boxing Vice-Champion Rami Kiwan: ‘It’s Been a Great Year for Me’
Jerusalem, 28 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Sofia (BTA) – Bulgarian boxer Rami Kiwan is pleased with his performance in the 2025 season, after becoming vice-champion in the 75 kg category at the World Championships in Liverpool in September, and to that he added two silver medals from World Cup competitions. Kiwan did not hide that he has some dissatisfaction, but also a serious ambition to win gold medals in the future.
“Overall, it’s been a great year for me. Winning a silver medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool is my biggest achievement so far. To be a three-time silver medalist in the 2025 season is a bit disappointing, I won’t lie. I want to take that last step and get the gold,” Kiwan said.
“There are a lot of good boxers in the 75kg category, but I love competition, so it’s good for me to have such strong opponents. I don’t have any big goals for the rest of this season. I’m going to take a little rest after so many official fights and then I’ll start preparing for the European Boxing Championships next year,” he said in an interview with the World Boxing Federation (World Boxing).
Rami Kiwan is currently second in the World Boxing rankings at 75kg.
