Israeli Joins Choreographers and Dancers from Bulgaria and Great Britain in Sofia for Choreographic Series #6

Choreographers and dancers from Bulgaria, Great Britain and Israel will gather in Sofia for the Choreographic Series #6, the organizers from the ATOM Theatre Company said. The event, which is being held for the sixth consecutive year, is scheduled for September 5 at the Toplotsentrala Regional Contemporary Art Center.

Four dance miniatures of the Choreographic Series #6 – the works created by the participants – will have their premiere.

The participants are:

Gilad Yerushalmi is the Israeli participant. Gilad is an independent dancer and choreographer for stage and media, based in Tel Aviv. He currently dances for the Emanuel Gat Dance company (France). In addition, Gilad teaches floor work for different companies, creates his own works for dance programs and gives movement classes for infants and their parents.

Deyan Georgiev is a Bulgarian actor and dance artist. He was nominated for the Icarus Award 2021 in the contemporary dance and performance category.

Laura Weston is a British Choreographer, dance director and practicing Laban teacher overthe last 16 years. Weston has a national and international career based on years of training, performing, and teaching as a contemporary dance artist, choreographer, and somatic movement educator.

Vladimir Gruev is the other young Bulgarian dance artist and choreographer. He performs between Bulgaria and France, and his portfolio includes work with companies like Herve Koubi (France), Barely Methodical Troupe (UK), Wayward Thread (UK), and Atom Theatre. His movement style combines breakdance and contemporary techniques.
