Cyberattacks on Azerbaijani State Agencies Down 8% This Year, Says Report
Jerusalem, 5 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – In January-July of this year, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security (SCSIS) identified 573 cyberattack indicators (IOCs) against state institutions.
AZERTAC reports, citing a report published by the Center for Combating Computer Incidents of the National Institute of Cybercrime, that this indicator is 8 percent less than the same period last year.
“206 of the cyber threats were identified and blocked based on internal investigations, and 367 were identified and blocked based on the investigation of incidents received from government agencies.”
In July alone, 69 cyberattacks were identified, which is 45 percent less than the same period last year.
“During the reporting period, 314.488 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, 15 million 846 thousand 700 through the Central antivirus system, and 62,667 malicious electronic documents were blocked through the Sandbox protection system,” the report states.
