Death to Khamenei, Shout Jerusalem Protesters Against Iranian Regime
Jerusalem, 2 January, 2018 (TPS) -- Demonstrators braved stormy weather Tuesday to demonstrate against the Iranian regime outside Jerusalem’s Old City.
Among the protestors was Neda Amin, an Iranian journalist and human rights activist who was granted entrance to Israel from Turkey on humanitarian grounds in August and is currently seeking permanent residency.
“We came here to protest the Iranian regime, I am Iranian and I want a free Iran.” Amin told told Tazpit Press Service (TPS). “It’s a protest against Iran’s dictatorial regime that is killing and oppressing people. We want a free Iran, we don’t want [Supreme Leader Ali] Khamenei , we don’t want an Islamic republic. Free Iran. Death to Khamenei.”
Some 21 people are believed to have been killed in several days of anti-regime protests throughout Iran.
