Defense Minister Katz Orders Intensified Operations in Judea and Samaria After Terror Attacks
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz visited the Tulkarem refugee camp on Friday, following the attempted terror attacks in central Israel the previous night. Accompanied by senior military officials, Katz held a situational assessment and emphasized the importance of maintaining high-intensity operations as part of Operation “Iron Wall” to dismantle terror infrastructure.
“We are at war with radical Islamic terrorism, and we will win—here, in Gaza, and everywhere,” Katz declared.
He directed the IDF to intensify operations in Judea and Samaria until terrorism is eradicated and issued a firm warning to released terrorists who returned to the region as part of the hostage deal with Hamas: “We are watching you. Anyone involved in terrorism will be hunted down and eliminated.”
Meanwhile, the Shin Bet arrested three suspects, two of them are Israeli-Jewish on suspicion of transporting the terrorists who planted explosive devices on buses in Bat Yam and Holon in central Israel. The two are also suspected of attempted murder. Security forces continue to search for those who planted the bombs, which were locally made and equipped with timer mechanisms commonly seen in Judea and Samaria terror hubs. Three IDF battalions were deployed to the area as part of the ongoing investigation.
According to IDF Spokesperson, as part of Operation “Iron Wall” approximately 90 terrorists were apprehended across Judea and Samaria in the last week, and more than 15 weapons were confiscated, along with additional arms.
