Developing Story: Palestinians Riot in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria

Jerusalem, 7 December, 2017 (TPS) -- Palestinians declared a general strike Thursday, burned tires and threw stones and Molotov cocktails at IDF troops at flashpoints around Judea and Samaria and in Jerusalem.

Large gatherings of keffieh-masked young men clashed with soldiers in Bethlehem, Hebron, Jenin and elsewhere. In Bethlehem troops fired tear gas to disperse protesters; at Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, protests were small as of this writing, with several dozen people gathered on the steps outside the Gate. Protesters held afternoon prayers in the plaza.

18:25 Sirens sounded in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council in the northwestern Negev. Security sources said no rockets fell in Israeli territory. An IDF spokesman said two rocket launches had been identified with both falling inside the Gaza Strip.
