Dino Imeri to Perform Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto, Seventh at Philharmonic
Jerusalem, 12 November, 2020 (TPS) -- Skopje, 12 November 2020 (MIA) — Macedonian pianist Dino Imeri will play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 and Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony with the Philharmonic conducted by Yeruham Scharovsky from Israel. The concert, titled ‘Both Body and Soul,’ will begin at 8 pm.
The Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major Op. 73 by Ludwig van Beethoven was written between 1809 and 1811 in Vienna. Also known as the Emperor Concerto, it is one of the most performed piano concertos in the world and “is the perfect transition between Classicism and Romanticism,” according to the Philharmonic.
Beethoven composed the Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92, between 1811 and 1812. The symphony reflects the composer’s optimism in spite of his struggle with deafness and represents “the Apotheosis of the Dance itself,” the Philharmonic adds quoting Richard Wagner.
Dino Imeri (b. 1990, Skopje) has performed as a soloist at numerous classical concert venues worldwide.
Yeruham Scharovsky (b. 1956, Buenos Aires) has conducted more than 50 orchestras in over 20 countries.
