FM Lapid and Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar Sign Bilateral Cooperation Agreement

Jerusalem, 23 August, 2021 (TPS) -- Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid Met today with both the Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar as well as United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland.

Lapid described his meeting with Minister Anže Logar as an official working meeting. After the meeting, the two signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in the field of cyber security. During the meeting, the two foreign ministers discussed, among other things, the convening of the Association Council in the European Union and the continued tightening of warm relations between the two countries.

The Slovenian Foreign Minister also paid a visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial. Logar said, “On the day of remembrance for the victims of all totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, I visited Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum.”

“Shocking! He added. “A memory of horrors we must never forget! 15 Slovenes [from the] righteous among the nations, have memorials there.”

Then Righteous Among the Nations are gentiles who saved Jews’ lives during the Holocaust.

As for his meeting with Tor Wennesland, Yair Lpid said that they, “discussed the importance of the role of the representative in maintaining regional stability and preventing escalation.”
