Guard in Life-Threatening Condition After Samaria Attack; Terrorist Identified as Factory Worker
Jerusalem, 18 August, 2024 (TPS) -- The Israeli security guard injured in the terror attack at the Bar-On industrial park in Samaria is now in life threatening condition. He sustained severe head trauma and was initially treated at the scene before being evacuated in an IDF armored vehicle. The guard has been transferred to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikvah, where his condition has worsened. Medical teams are working urgently to save his life.
The regional council of Samaria has confirmed that the terrorist, Sultan Nadal Abd-Aljani, was a worker at the local factory with a valid work permit. The 21-year-old Palestinian from Tulkarm used a hammer in the attack, stole the guard’s weapon, and fled in a stolen vehicle.
Security forces are continuing their manhunt for the attacker.
