Hamas Kept Its Assault Secret With ‘Out-Dated’ Equipment
Jerusalem, 25 October, 2023 (TPS) -- To avoid being detected by Israeli intelligence, Hamas terrorists organized the Oct. 7 assault on Israeli communities by using a hardwired telephone network and “out-dated” equipment, according to a CNN report on Wednesday.
During the two years that went into planning the attack, its small group of organizers avoided discussing it on cell phones, did not use laptops or any other digital devices in their preparations. All planning was done in person or using the phones, which were located inside tunnels and not connected to a larger network.
The reports added that the more than 1,000 terrorists who participated in the attack received training without being told what they were training for. The terrorists were reportedly only notified in the days leading up to the attack.
