Jerusalem, 28 September, 2024 (TPS) -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson announced that yesterday (Friday), the IDF eliminated Hassan Nasrallah, the leader and co-founder of the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Ali Karaki, Hezbollah’s Southern Front commander, and other Hezbollah leaders were also killed in the operation.

Israeli Air Force fighter jets, guided by precise intelligence from the Intelligence Division and security system, struck Hezbollah’s central underground headquarters beneath a residential building in the Dahieh area of Beirut. The attack occurred while Hezbollah’s top leadership was in the headquarters coordinating terrorist activities against Israeli civilians.

During his 32-year tenure as Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah was responsible for the murder of numerous Israeli civilians and soldiers, as well as planning and executing thousands of terrorist acts against Israel and worldwide. Nasrallah was the primary decision-maker and sole approver of strategic-systemic decisions, and often tactical decisions within the organization.

Hezbollah and its leader Hassan Nasrallah joined the war against Israel on October 8th. Since then, Hezbollah has continued its attacks against Israeli civilians, dragging Lebanon and the entire region into an escalation.

The IDF said it will continue to target anyone who promotes and engages in terrorism against Israeli citizens.
