Infiltration Foiled At Itamar

By TPS • 28 January, 2018

Jerusalem, 28 January, 2018 (TPS) -- A Palestinian man dressed in military-style fatigues was arrested by the perimeter fence of the settlement of Itamar near Nablus on Sunday evening, while the IDF said it was looking for a second suspect.

A lookout spotted two Palestinian men near the perimeter fence of the community at around 7 pm. One of the men was caught by an IDF patrol, while the other fled in the direction of the nearby Palestinian village of Beit Furik. The IDF entered the village to search for the suspect and met with dozens of Palestinians who threw rocks at the forces. A spokesman said the IDF had employed ‘riot control’ means.

The IDF said it was looking into the possibility that the two suspects had planned to carry out a terrorist attack.
