Informal Education for Pupils, Pre-School Children on National TV

Jerusalem, 16 March, 2020 (TPS) -- As of Monday, elementary school pupils and pre-school children will have the opportunity to watch educational content from school and kindergarten curricula at the three channels of the Macedonian Radio Television (MRT).

The move comes after the Government decided last week to close schools and kindergartens as prevention from spreading the coronavirus.

The Ministry of Education and Science, UNICEF, civil society organizations and MRT management met last week over the issue.

“This informal education through the so-called ‘TV classroom’ will be realized until the reopening of the schools and kindergartens,” the ministry said in a press release.
