Jerusalem, 19 November, 2020 (TPS) -- Skopje, 19 November 2020 (MIA) – The trial in the ‘International Association’ case, in which Bojan Jovanovski and four other people are indicted on fraud and money laundering charges, resumed Thursday at the Skopje-based Criminal Court with presentation of evidence.

The first defendant Jovanovski asked the court to remove presiding judge Sofche Gavrilova Efremovska from the case on account of bias, as she was a part of the council of judges in the ‘Racket’ case trial in which he was also indicted.

Gavrilova Efremovska said the request will be delivered to the Court President, after which the trial resumed with presentation of evidence submitted by the prosecution.

During Thursday’s hearing, Jovanovski also reported to the court that he has received doctors orders to be on bed rest for the next month and will not be able to attend further presentation of evidence.

Jasna Mandikj, Bojan Jovanovski-Boki 13, Frosina Remenski, Mile Jovanovski and Hristina Blazeska are indicted in the trial of committing fraud, money laundering, etc.

According to the prosecution, the defendants deceived businessmen Siljan Miceski and Ardian Amzoski that they would participate in a project of ‘International Association’ for which they paid a total of over EUR 1 million.
