Israel-Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Partnership Produces 100 New Specialists
Jerusalem, 22 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The seventh graduation day was held at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, established jointly by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDIA) and the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel.
AZERTAC reports that another 100 highly qualified cybersecurity specialists have completed their training as part of this training wave.
The opening ceremony was attended by Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Moti Yeger, Director of the Technion Institute’s Continuing Education Center, and Tugra Musayeva, representative of PASHA Holding.
Farid Osmanov said in his speech that cybersecurity is an integral part of digital transformation and the formation of highly qualified human capital in this area is one of the state’s main priorities.
According to him, in the Action Plan for Accelerating Digital Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2028, strengthening cybersecurity and developing professional personnel potential in this direction are among the main directions of digital transformation.
“As digital transformation accelerates, cybersecurity is becoming one of the most important priorities for the sustainable development and national security of countries. One of the main conditions for success in this area is the formation of strong human capital. The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center has made a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in accordance with international standards in the short period of its operation,” Farid Osmanov emphasized.
The event also featured a final project prepared by a team of graduates. Team members demonstrated innovative approaches and results they developed by applying the knowledge they gained during their studies to solving real-world cybersecurity problems.
The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center serves to train cybersecurity professionals in the country, develop the local ecosystem, and strengthen digital security within the framework of international cooperation.
