‘This is Not Real’: Israeli Actresses Flee Los Angeles Wildfires

Public By Pesach Benson • 9 January, 2025

Jerusalem, 9 January, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Israeli actresses Noa Tishby and Moran Atias were among the thousands of Los Angeles residents evacuated from their homes as wildfires raged out of control.

At least five people have been killed and some 2,000 buildings have been damaged or destroyed.

Israeli actress and model Moran Attias posted on Instagram a video of herself fleeing the fire in tears.

“I really need help because the fires are coming towards my house,” she said. “Listen, this is not real. Wow, what a bloody year, enough already, God.. The fires are here and they evacuated my house now, Ima’ah… How am I going to get anything out? This is not real.”

Atias added, “I’m really scared, I just want to say thank you to all the angel firefighters who are roaming the area on foot and in helicopters.” She later posted she was outside the city and safe.

Israeli actress, model, producer and activist Noa Tishby was also forced to evacuate her home.

“We are living through history, yet again. The LA fires are generational. Historical. Devastating. We are now evacuated to safety and praying for an end to this disaster. I am speechless and following the news, like everyone else. Stay safe everyone,” Tishby tweeted.

The fast-moving wildfires, fanned by dry weather and high winds, have burnt more than 25,000 acres and forced the evacuation of more than 130,000 people.

The Israeli consulate in Los Angeles tweeted, “Our heart is heavy for the lives and communities impacted. Stay safe, and may strength and resilience guide us through this difficult time.”
