Israeli Biopesticide Product Now Registered in 30 US States

Jerusalem, 2 November, 2016 (TPS) -- Israel-based biopesticide maker, Stockton Group, announced that the company’s biofungicide product, Timorex Gold has recently been registered in Florida by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The crop protection product, which facilitates plant disease management, is now registered in 30 states across the United States.

“Florida’s approval is an important milestone for Timorex Gold. This is a significant confirmation of our product’s platform, paving the way for the flow of our new and innovative products and for sustainable crop protection,” said Guy Elitzur, Stockton’s CEO.

“The U.S. market is extremely important for Stockton as we anticipate a great commercial future for our product in this significant market,” Elitzur added.

The product has been registered in Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Puerto Rico.

According to a company press release, Timorex Gold is also used by farmers in over 30 countries , including much of Central and South America, Australia, Canada, Serbia, and the Philippines.

Timorex Gold is used to control a broad range of diseases in diverse crops and offers fruit and vegetable growers a number of benefits including a high degree of safety to beneficial and pollinator insects. Based on the plant extract Melaleuca alternifolia, the highly-effective biofungicide is utilized during in-season harvest for plant disease management including controlling black sigatoka disease on the banana plant. The natural fungicide strengthens photosynthetic capacity, stimulates the plants’ growth, and reduces stress and chemical load.

In addition to Timorex Gold, Stockton also provides biopesticides to protect plants from insect attack and Aquamore products that prevents infection and diseases of fish, shrimp, and other aquatic species.
