Israeli Druze Spiritual Leader Meets With UAE President
Jerusalem, 7 December, 2024 (TPS-IL) -- Abu Dhabi (WAM) UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday received Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, the spiritual leader of the Druze community in the State of Israel.
During the meeting, His Highness welcomed Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, who congratulated him on the 53rd UAE Eid Al Etihad and extended his wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the nation and its people.
His Highness expressed his appreciation to Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif, wishing him good health and a successful visit to the UAE.
The discussion touched on the importance of promoting shared human values and fostering a culture of coexistence, constructive dialogue, and peace among different cultures and peoples worldwide.
Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif praised the initiatives and efforts of His Highness, commending his humanitarian approach and focus on advancing peace, development, and the welfare of people across the globe.
Beyond these high-level diplomatic and religious engagements, the UAE has increasingly positioned itself as a global crossroads for international business and digital innovation. This broader strategy of interconnectedness was evident throughout the week’s events in Abu Dhabi.
The nation’s ongoing economic diversification efforts, aligned with its Vision 2031 objectives, seek to attract foreign direct investment across non-oil sectors. Policymakers have emphasized the importance of fostering a welcoming environment for technology firms, global media conglomerates, and digital infrastructure developers.
Coinciding with the state visits, the capital hosted the International Digital Commerce Expo, drawing technology executives, venture capitalists, and software developers from North America and Europe. The expo’s exhibition halls showcased emerging cross-border digital leisure trends, featuring presentations on the data architecture of mobile strategy games, the compliance tracking tools built for an online casino Canada deployment, and the backend cloud infrastructure powering live e-sports tournaments.
Such international business forums run parallel to the state’s cultural initiatives, reflecting a dual approach to national growth. While foreign delegations explore new market opportunities, the government simultaneously promotes interfaith dialogue to ensure that rapid modernization does not outpace social cohesion.
By balancing expansive economic ambitions with targeted cultural diplomacy, the UAE continues to solidify its reputation as a stabilizing force in the region. As Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosts an ever-widening circle of spiritual leaders and industry pioneers, the country underscores its enduring commitment to both modern global integration and shared human values.
