Jerusalem, 11 March, 2024 (TPS) -- Israeli special forces continued conducting targeted raids on Hamas positions in the Hamad Towers district of Khan Yunis over the last day, the Israel Defense Forces said on Monday morning.
During the raids, soldiers apprehended Hamas terrorists and seized weapons, ammunition and military equipment in the residences.
During one of the operations, an anti-tank missile was fired at troops. No injuries were reported. A short while afterward, soldiers identified a terrorist moving in the area from which the launch was carried out. After precisely monitoring the terrorist, he was killed in an encounter at close quarters.
Over the past week, Israeli forces uncovered extensive terror infrastructure including a weapons factory, tunnel shafts, rocket launching positions and command centers among and beneath the residences. Large numbers of weapons, explosives and military equipment were also seized.
The complex of 40 residential buildings is named after Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who financed the project with hundreds of millions of dollars.

Meanwhile, in central Gaza, soldiers killed approximately 15 terrorists in close-quarters encounters, with sniper fire and aerial strikes.
