Jerusalem, 7 January, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Israeli security forces arrested 18 wanted Palestinian terror suspects and killed three armed men during overnight counterterror operations in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley, the Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday.

In the area of Tammun in Samaria, Palestinian terrorists in a vehicle opened fire on Israeli forces. Israeli aircraft responded by striking the car. Two terrorists were killed, several wanted fugitives were arrested and weapons were confiscated.

In another arrest raid in the village of Taluza, near Shechem (Nablus), soldiers eliminated a terrorist in hand-to-hand combat, confiscated a Kalashnikov rifle, and arrested a wanted individual. In Rafidiya, also near Shechem, two suspects were detained, and a Carlo-type weapon was seized.

Further arrests and weapons confiscations occurred in other areas of Judea and Samaria.

The army said one reserve soldier was seriously injured during an exchange of gunfire in Taluza.
