Israeli Security Forces Foil Lebanon-Linked Terror Cells in Samaria
Jerusalem, 10 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Israeli security forces have uncovered and dismantled a terror infrastructure operating in Samaria under the direction of operatives based in Lebanon, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced on Tuesday.
According to the Shin Bet, the network was instructed to gather intelligence and prepare for attacks, including filming a village in Samaria and conducting weapons training.
The investigation began in October, when Shin Bet agents arrested Muhammad Tzedaka, a resident of the Samaria village of Anza, on suspicion that he intended to carry out an attack. During questioning, Tzedaka revealed that he had traveled to Lebanon, where he was recruited by Musa Abu Saif, also known as “Jibril,” an operative involved in directing terror activity into Judea and Samaria.
After returning from Lebanon via Jordan, Tzedaka recruited additional members of the cell, including Muhammad Khalil of Ramallah and Muhammad Brahma of Anza. Both were later arrested and interrogated by the Shin Bet. Investigators found that Tzedaka maintained ongoing contact with his Lebanese handlers through social media platforms and even a gaming application until his arrest.
At the same time, security forces exposed a second cell linked to the same Lebanese-based network. Two residents of the Palestinian village of Tel, Dia al-Din Hamed and Tzer Asida, both in their 20s, were taken into custody. Their interrogation revealed a recruitment process led by a Lebanese operative named Mujahid, assisted by others using the aliases “Abu Ahmed” and “Abu Wahid,” who managed communications primarily through social media.
As part of their recruitment, the two suspects carried out shooting training, were instructed to photograph a community in Samaria, and reached an agreement to receive funds to purchase weapons.
The Shin Bet said intelligence indicated that the broader infrastructure directing both cells is headed by Mujahid Dahsha, a Lebanese resident with ties to Hamas and Hezbollah operatives.
Indictments were filed against all five suspects.
