Israeli Summer Camp to Host Azerbaijani Teens With Diabetes

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health held a meeting with teenagers with diabetes who will go to a summer camp organized in Israel. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to our country, George Dick, also participated in the event.

According to the information provided to AZERTAC by the press service of the Ministry, Health Minister Teymur Musayev pointed out that continuous meetings with representatives of Israel will contribute to the strengthening of relations and friendly relations between our countries. The minister praised the organization of a summer camp in Israel for children and teenagers suffering from diabetes as a step based on humanistic principles.

During the meeting, it was also emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev always pays special attention and care to protecting the health of children and adolescents. It was reported that as a result of this care, important steps have been taken in recent years to provide children with medical services that meet high standards.

The minister also said that Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, always attaches importance to issues related to the health of the population, especially children and adolescents: “One of the priority directions of the pro-social policy of the Azerbaijani state is the protection of the health of children and adolescents, including those suffering from diabetes.”

In the end, the Minister of Health drew attention to the need to organize such events for children and teenagers in both countries in the future.

Ambassador George Dick highly appreciated the care provided by the state to children in Azerbaijan. It was noted that Azerbaijani children and adolescents were selected first to participate in the project implemented at the international level.

Expressing their gratitude for the warm reception, the teenagers stressed that they always feel the care of the state. It was stated that the summer camp will play an important role in the development of their views on the world in addition to helping them recover their health, and will also remain a pleasant memory in their memories.
