Israeli Tourists in Bulgaria Return Home on Emergency Flight

Jerusalem, 18 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Varna (BTA) – Israeli ski tourists staying in Bulgarian resorts near Varna returned home today on a flight of the Israir airline , the Honorary Consul of Israel to Bulgaria Orlin Mandov told BTA. The airport in the seaside city specified that the flight to Tel Aviv was an emergency one. The plane took off with a delay. The regular flight of the Wizz Air company to Tel Aviv this morning was canceled.

Among the tourists who left for Israel today are children, Mandov specified. He said he is also in constant contact with the other guests from that country who came for vacation.

A plane with Bulgarian citizens evacuated from Israel landed at Vasil Levski Airport in Sofia at around 02:30 today. The group was successfully evacuated from Israeli territory by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the assistance of the Bulgarian embassy in Tel Aviv.

Among the evacuees are citizens of other countries – Romania, Slovenia, the USA, Belgium, Albania, Kosovo, announced the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev at the airport.
