Kazakh Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Baku

Jerusalem, 24 March, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The captain of an Airbus A321 aircraft operated by Air Astana on the Tbilisi-Almaty route has sent a request for an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

AZERTAC reports that this was due to the sharp deterioration in the health of one of the passengers on board.

Immediately after the appeal, the crisis management team was mobilized, ground services were promptly coordinated, and all safety measures were taken. The plane landed successfully at 00:25 local time.

The passenger was provided with immediate medical assistance and was transferred to an ambulance crew for further examination and transported to one of the city hospitals.

At the same time, by decision of Air Astana, the flight’s departure to its destination was postponed. Other passengers were accommodated in a hotel.
