Khusra Riots Spread
Jerusalem, 4 December, 2017 (TPS) -- IDF troops clashed with Palestinian rioters outside the village of Khusra on Monday afternoon as they intervened to stop stone throwing at cars on a turnoff to the Jewish community of Migdalim located on the outskirts of the village.
Earlier in the day dozens of Palestinian rioters threw rocks at small group of settlers led by right-wing activist Baruch Marzel, one of the leaders of the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Strength) party, who were hiking near Khusra following an incident outside the village last week where Jewish hikers were attacked and an armed member of the group shot and killed a Palestinian.
Palestinian reports said that one person had been critically wounded when the IDF opened fire in today’s incident. Security sources told TPS that an injured Palestinian had been taken from the scene in a private car and that IDF medics had been unable to determine his situation.
Video taken by Tazpit Press Service (TPS) at the scene shows several dozen Palestinian standing on a hilltop throwing rocks and rolling boulders down at a group of some 10 Jewish settlers hiking in the valley below.
