Jerusalem, 23 December, 2020 (TPS) -- Sofia, 23 December 2020 (MIA) – I have told PM Zoran Zaev, who has thanked us for assistance in procuring COVID-19 vaccines, that we’re always ready to help our closest neighbours and friends, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday morning.

“The situation is very difficult, but we have to show support and solidarity. All lives matter and we’ll put in all our efforts to preserve them,” read Borissov’s post.

North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on Tuesday evening thanked via Facebook his Bulgarian counterpart and the government in Sofia for deciding to donate a portion of their COVID-19 shots to North Macedonia.

“I have personally thanked PM Borissov, the Bulgarian government and the Bulgarian people for their solidarity and act of friendship towards the people of North Macedonia. I stressed the importance of the donation, which comes at an extremely difficult time, when our two people, two counties, and the entire world is facing a strong coronavirus wave,” read Zaev’s post.
