Jerusalem, 27 September, 2024 (TPS) -- The Israeli Air Force struck Hezbollah’s headquarters, built under civilian homes in the Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut, Lebanon, late Friday night, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

According to initial reports, there is a significant likelihood that Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah was located in the building during the massive airstrike. Israeli authorities are currently investigating this possibility.

Netanyahu was informed of the strike while he was in the middle of a press briefing with reporters in the Unites States, and subsequently halted the briefing.

In light of the significant attack, Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi stated that the Israeli Defense Forces are fully prepared for offense and defense in all sectors and on all fronts.
