Netanyahu To Meet Trump Seeking US Tariff Reversal
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump are set to discuss the sweeping tariffs imposed by Washington on exports to the US during a meeting which will take place at the White House probably next Monday, according to officials cited by American Media.
According to the same sources the trip to Washington follows an invitation which Trump made during a phone call with the Israeli PM during which Benjamin Netanyahu raised the issue.
US tariffs imposed on Israeli goods stand at 17% and Benjamin Netanyahu will become the first foreign leader to negotiate in person with the US President.
Details of the trip according to an Israeli official cited by Israel’s Channel 12 and Kan the public broadcaster, have not been finalized yet.
