Jerusalem, 6 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Azerbaijan’s State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population is launching a new bicycle rehabilitation project for the first time for people with disabilities.
According to the Ministry’s Public Relations Department, the goal of the project is to effectively organize the leisure time of people with disabilities, increase their interest in sports, including paracycling, and support their integration into society.
This project, intended for people with disabilities who are involved in services at the Agency’s rehabilitation centers, will be organized in the Seaside National Park for three months. The project is being implemented with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the organizational support of the Seaside Boulevard Department, and the initiative of the “Azerbaijan Disabled Cyclists Support” Public Union.
Hand bikes increase muscle activity, improve blood circulation, reduce stress, improve mood, and increase self-confidence.
