Jerusalem, 13 July, 2018 (TPS) --
An IDF Patriot missile was fired at an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) approaching Israeli airspace from Syria at around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. An army spokesman said the UAV had likely been shot down.
“The IDF will continue to act against any attempt to violate the 1974 disengagement of forces agreement and will not allow any violation of Israeli sovereignty,” the spokesman said.
The incident was the second in the past few days. On Wednesday, an  IDF Patriot missile downed a UAV that entered Israeli airspace from Syria over the Sea of Galilee, some 10 kilometers from the border.
In response to Wednesday’s incident, the IDF struck three Syrian military posts overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.
