Photo Essay: Four Israeli Hostages Rescued, As it Happened

Jerusalem, 8 June, 2024 (TPS) -- Israeli military forces rescued hostages Noa Argaman, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov and Shlomi Ziv under heavy fire in the Nuseirat area of central Gaza on Saturday during a daylight raid.

The Press Service of Israel’s photographers documented the day’s drama as it happened.

At least 1,200 people were killed, and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the 116 remaining hostages, more than 30 are believed dead.
