Powerful Winds Uproot Trees in Azerbaijani Capital

Jerusalem, 16 April, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Due to the heavy downpour that began in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on Tuesday evening, accompanied by strong winds, city utility services have switched to a specially enhanced operating mode.

AZERTAC was informed about this by the Baku City Executive Power.

It was reported that according to the information of the Baku City Greening Farm Union as of 10:00 this morning, 55 trees were broken in the city and more than 15 branches were broken as a result of strong winds.

The fallen trees were cut down by the union’s employees, the damaged ones were pruned, and the area was cleaned.

Currently, the Union’s mobile teams continue their work in an enhanced mode in various areas of the city.
